October 8th & 9th, 2016

“Quilted Gems: Precious Fabric of Madison County” is this year’s Madison County Covered Bridge Festival theme. Madison County is like a colorful patchwork quilt made up of individual squares representing every person, place and event stitched together over time. The people are its fabric, bound together with a deep love of the land and nature, an unfailing dedication to hard work and a strong commitment to helping our neighbors with open hearts.

We invite you to experience the many patchwork “pieces” of our festival this year — the world famous covered bridges, crafts and old-time demonstrations, annual quilt and car shows, cowboys from the wild west, continuous entertainment, family fun — and the many people and places that make it a very special place to visit and a beautiful place to call “home.”
