Madison County Chamber Welcomes New Executive Director

The Madison County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Amara Huffine has been hired as our new Executive Director. Amara’s first day will be Monday, March 1st. Sarah Pugh, Chamber Board Chair, said “We’re thrilled to have Amara join us, and excited about the enthusiasm and experience that she brings to the Chamber.” Amara has been involved in the non-profit sector in the Des Moines area, and has 10+ years of hands-on experience with fundraising, special events, membership growth and benefits, grant writing and community engagement. “I am very excited about the opportunity to join the Chamber and the Madison County community,” she said. “I look forward to getting to better know the community, members, board, and ambassadors and continue the important work of the Chamber.” At some point in the near future, the Chamber will host a “meet and greet” so that community members can meet Amara (which she notes is pronounced like “camera,” but without the C). In the meantime, we hope that you will all give her a warm Madison County welcome when you meet her.
