One of the hottest crafting trends is quilting, and Winterset is home to two of the world’s most well known quilters, Marianne Fons and Liz Porter. Their company, Fons and Porter’s Love of Quilting, is based here in Winterset. What’s even better, a second quilt store, an old fashioned Ben Franklin, is just down the block with an awesome selection of quilting materials. Are your guests history buffs? Madison County has one of the best historical complexes (right) in the Midwest. Fourteen historic buildings, as well as world-class exhibits await you and your group.
